About the event
We Broke Free and 60 Million Postcards present:
The Estevans The Estevans start off 2020 releasing their third single “Wrong Idea” which was recorded as a collaboration between Gus Oberg (The Strokes producer) and Boe Weaver (the bands long term producers) at Studio Humbug in the Isle of Wight.
The 19 year olds had a busy summer of playing festivals such as Isle of Wight Festival, Truck Fest, YNOT, The Great Escape and Tramlines. Touring up and down the UK in October and bagging 2 sold out hometown shows in a row at Boileroom in Guildford.
Their second single “Gotta Know You” was playlisted on Radio X, was chosen as This Feelings track of the week and was spun on BBC Introducing. The Estevans plan to step it up a gear this year by playing bigger stages and winning over as many people as they can.
Plus support from Marble Tides Marble Tides is the meeting of five different musicians and their plethora of influences. The band combines cinematic soundscapes with Rock, Indie, Pop, Blues and Jazz to create an original and rich sonic experience. The bands sound is matched with their live show, combining a passionate display of energy, harmony and rhythm. Marble Tides is listed in the Top 5 Must See Acts in Dorset and Hampshire and they’re making their mark on the rest of the country. Winning festival slots at Glastonbudget, Hang Tight Festival (Hosted by Kerrang) and Bournemouth’s Summer Ball not to mention being a feature on BBC Introducing as well as interviews with BBC Early Late Show. Seemingly conflicting comparisons between bands like The Smiths, The Editors and Nirvana have seen the band build a large fan base in a short period of time. But don’t let us tell you what they sound like, Marble Tides are available across all social and streaming platforms so check them out and make your own mind up.
